About the Recipe

Enhance the texture and eliminate unwanted odors from your fish and seafood with Hinode Fish Master.

Ingredients

  • Raw cod (fillet) 500g

  • Frying oil (in appropriate amount)

  • Salad vegetables (for side dish)

  • French Fries

  • [A] Tartar Sauce

    • Hinode Fish Master 100ml

    • Hinode Hon Mirin 2 tbsp

  • [B] Coating

    • All purpose flour 1 cup

    • Corn starch 2 tbsp

    • Baking powder 1 tsp

    • Salt 1/4 tsp

    • Paprika (a pinch)

    • Ground black pepper (a pinch)

    • Soda or water 1/2 cup





Preparation

  • Prepare fish and cut into long strips.

  • Marinate in the combined [A] ingredients for 5 minutes.

  • Combine all dry ingredients for [B] in a bowl. Add soda and whisk until the batter is smooth. Let the batter rest for 30 minutes before using.

  • Once the fish has marinated, gently remove it from the marinade and drain off any excess liquid.

  • Coat fish with the [B] mixture, making sure it's evenly covered.

  • Deep-fry the coated fish in 170 °C oil until it's cooked through and crispy.

  • Place the salad vegetables and fried fish on a plate, serve with French Fries and Tartar Sauce.
